How To Create A Hair Knot
You Will Need
1 Brush
1 Coated Elastic Band
3 to 6 Bobby Pins
1 Hair Spray
1 Shine Serum
Brush
Begin by brushing to smooth and detangle the hair. While it seems obvious, this step is too often overlooked, resulting in those ever-frustrating bumps in your ponytail or updo. Try using a paddle brush with boar bristles; it adds shine to your hair.
Create A Ponytail
Brush your hair away from your face and gather it into your hand. Wrap a coated elastic band around your hair. Separate your ponytail into two sections and gently tug to secure the band.
Twist
Twist the hair of your ponytail from the elastic band to the ends. If you're hair is layered or prone to frizzes and flyaways, apply a few drops of shine serum to your hands before twisting to keep your hair smooth and sleek.
Wrap
Carefully wrap your twisted hair into a coil around the band. Use one hand to wrap your hair and another to hold the central part of the coil in place.
Secure With Bobby Pins
Tuck the ends of your hair under the knot and secure with a bobby pin. Place another bobby pin on the opposite side of the knot. Two pins works for those with fine hair but if your hair's thick, you'll need to use more.
Finishing Spray
Now that you've created the perfect knot…finish it off with some hairspray to keep it that way.

How To French Twist Hair
Brush your hair so it's all on one side and use grips at the back to hold it in place.
Apply hairspray all over your hair.
Wrap the hair around your thumb and twist it up into a cone shape, holding it secure with your other fingers.
Use pins to slide in and around the twist so they point in towards the middle, to hold the hair in place.
Use a bristle brush to neaten the style and use hairspray to hold the twist together.

How To Curl Hair With Straighteners
Place The Hair
Holding the iron at the end, I place my hair over the section and wrap my hair around the bottom plate. I gently close the plates, lightly gripping the hair.
Move And Rotate
As I glide the iron down towards the end, I rotate outwards.
Create Bigger Curls
For bigger curls, I take larger sections of hair and I use the same rotating motion.
Start Lower Down
I don't start too close to the roots, because this creates too much volume near the top of my head, and the curls won't be soft and bouncy.
Use Rounded Plates
You should use an iron with a rounded, beveled plate design to create the perfect curl.
If your iron doesn't have rounded plates, it will create unnatural dents in your hair.
The rounded plates are what give you the smooth, flowing curl.
Try Again
If you don't get the curl right on the first try, don't worry! Just let the section you were working on cool down for a few minutes before you try it again.
Move on to the next section while you are waiting. The back of the head is the hardest, but keep trying; you'll get it.
Continue The Process
I continue this process, moving throughout each section of my hair. It takes a little while to get the hang of creating curls with a flat iron, but with a little practice, you will achieve those perfect, bouncy, glamorous curls.
